PREGNANCY

In 2021 I created a series of naked self-portraits that followed my pregnancy. My appearance seemingly altered with every passing hour. By continually studying my own image I hoped to express the fleeting and myriad emotions of my journey towards motherhood, capturing the physical changes my body went through as new life joined me.

Removing my clothes, I am both exposed and yet powerful - challenging the viewer to look beyond simple or sexual nudity - to see the gentle meaning behind each pose and share my personal journey.
